Dakota is a great opportunity for any trainer or intermediate rider.
At 16 hands, 1300 pounds and bombshell gorgeus palomino this big fella will make a statement out on the trail!
He is registered with the American Quarter Horse Association. He is bread out of Colonel Freckles.
Dakota had not been ridden for a few years when we just recently got him. He is a good horse, but has been spoiled and had a few bad habits.
He rides around nice with zero buck (we have pushed him to the extreme and does not buck), but will lock up when he gets pushed really hard and you really have to get after him to get moving again.
When he is fresh with no warm up he will walk off nice a slow for a few laps and then wants to run.
The only reason I am selling him as a project is that he does not fit my program for beginner safe trail horses and at 14 years old he is too old to start training for roping or barrels.
He has no issues with other horses, great in the stall or out in the pasture. His ground manners are great and he moves around really nice and is a beautiful horse.
